Manisa Celal Bayar University carried out pilot training for unemployed adults in Manisa within the scope of the EU Project titled “The Journey of Unemployed Adults from Financial Literacy to Enterpreneurship (JAFLE)”.
The “Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship” training, which was held within the scope of the project coordinated by our university, was held on 05-06 October 2023 at MCBÜ Cinema Hall. In the pilot training attended by nearly twenty adult unemployed people, topics such as money, savings, investment, banking, credit, retirement, card payment systems, retirement and financial security were included in the financial literacy module. In the entrepreneurship module, the country’s economy, company management, entrepreneurship, business plan, e-commerce and e-sales were discussed. In addition, grants and other supports provided by the state and private institutions and organizations were also discussed.
The training, in which blended education methods were used, was enriched with various activities in which the participants personally participated, as well as theoretical knowledge. Physical activities, on the one hand, and techniques applied using the internet, on the other hand, made the two-day training very productive.
The training in question was given by Prof. Dr. Hatice Yurtsever, Associate Professor Dr. Pınar Pehlivan and Lecturer Dr. Lale Yakupoğlu from the project team.
The pilot training, which the participants were very satisfied with, ended with the issuance of certificates.
